Coextant at Microsoft Tech Ed: IT Forum

14-17 November 2006: Microsoft Tech Ed: IT Forum, Barcelona, Spain

At the Microsoft "ready for a new day" Partner Zone Coextant show-cased how Hyper.Net v5 leverage Microsoft Office 2007 products and technologies, to drive content-intensive and consumer-facing web sites.
This year's show was one of the most exciting in years, as Microsoft unveiled Office & SharePoint 2007 and Coextant announced Hyper.Net v5.
Included in this milestone release are: enhanced document library integration, extended workflow capabilities and an enhanced, SOA-based architecture for transforming and publishing Office-driven content to MOSS 2007 Web sites.
New content transformation features include:

  ·
Data Connector for the SharePoint 2007 Data Store: Hyper.Net’s output can now be published directly into the SharePoint Data Store as SharePoint-native data objects, enabling it to be accessed by Web and portal solutions using standard SharePoint tools and approaches
  ·
Regulatory and Compound Publishing Services: Intuitive configuration automates the collation, pagination and watermarking of documents into compound PDF files, and help make SharePoint a compelling alternative to more expensive regulatory solutions
  ·
Support for Virtual Taxonomies: Published content can now be restructured and reorganized within a portal, or be simultaneously deployed to different portals with different taxonomies, without having to reorganize documents in SharePoint or modify document metadata
  ·
Support for Automated Content Translation: The ability to integrate automated content translation into the transformation process enables you to effortlessly deploy any document authored in a single language as multi-lingual Web content
  ·
Support For Automatic Generation of the New PDF/A Format: Enables any SharePoint installation to instantly comply with ISO 19005-1 requirements
