SharePoint Connector for Lotus Notes

Overview
Many organizations using IBM Lotus Notes® and Domino® are seeing a rise in the use of Microsoft® SharePoint® for collaboration and document sharing. With no integration between these two products, end users have to manually bridge the divide, which leads to additional, unnecessary steps and curtails the effective use of either product. Solving the problem by migrating away from Notes and Domino to an all-Microsoft infrastructure is a costly proposition—one often lacking a financial justification and involving significant business risks. With the current economic uncertainty, IT organizations are better served focusing on maximizing the value of existing infrastructures.
Coextant offers a solution for a strategic coexistence approach to enable the realization of such value. Coextant uses Mainsoft’s integration software and services for Microsoft SharePoint and IBM Lotus products which combine the collaboration and document sharing capabilities of SharePoint with the email and instant messaging capabilities of Lotus Notes and Sametime®. This enables organizations to fully integrate the promise of both products and achieve the benefits of an integrated collaboration environment, without the hassles or risks of a migration.
