Lotus Notes does not lend itself easily to the creation of documents and documentations. See also Overview content creation. However, for historical reasons a lot of content is supplied in the form of Notes applications.
Coextant offers a Notes Connector which enables the customer to transform and distribute the content (data records) of a Notes application. When changes are applied to the source data records, the process is automatically re-initiated.
Thus, Notes-based content can be retrieved from its "containers" (.nsf files) and can be well prepared and presented in a context-specific way along with other information.
Since each Notes application is programmed individually, connecting the interface takes 1-2 days per application.
Alternatively, content from Notes applications can easily be made available for and integrated into portals and web applications using link technologies in a context-specific way. See also Overview content management.
